Hello fellow colleagues on the IAMOPF mailing list,

Things seem a little quiet, so I thought I'd kick off a small thread of introductions (apologies if there already is one).

For those who don't know me, my name is Ross Spencer, I have been in the field for about 17 years and currently work mostly independently on individual contracts. I have quite a broad set of interests in digital preservation, from file formats to information and records management, and understanding what we have. I am keen on developing new solutions for problems. I also enjoy communicating about the subject.

I am looking forward to seeing how IAMOPF evolves with everyone here.

Also, if anyone is in London from April 2-4, I will be attending the Born Digital Collections, Archives, and Memory conference at Senate House, and I will likely see some of you there.
